Our Services

Trophy tags are available from our office.  Email hazel@robinsontaxidermy.co.za who will arrange to have the tags sent/delivered to you or your Outfitter.

  • We will arrange for the collection of your hunting trophies from the hunting area.  Charges will apply
  • Mounting of trophies as full mounts, shoulder mounts, skull mounts, pedestal mounts, wall pedestal mounts, tanning of hides, Dip & Ship of trophies, packing & crating of orders.
  • Copper work on elephant tusks, warthog tusks, hippos tusks, foot lamps etc.
  • All documentation pertaining to your hunt, such as hunting registers, hunting permits, exemption permits etc. are to be provided when raw trophies are delivered to our studio or when we collect from hunting areas.
  • Measuring of your trophies for SCI and Rowland Ward

You will receive a taxidermy quotation from Robinson Taxidermy.  A 50% deposit will be required before processing of any order will begin.

  • Insurance can be arranged for trophies on our premises and in transit at an additional cost.
  • Full payment is required prior to orders being packed/collected/shipped.  Failure to make final payment within 6 weeks of notification of completion of an order, storage charges will be incurred.
  • All prices exclude any freight charges, insurance and permits.
  • Pedestal mounts and wall pedestal mounts are charged at shoulder mount price plus 20%.
  • Pedestal bases vary in cost depending on specific requirements.
  • Half mounts are charged at 65% of the full mount price
  • Full mount prices include standard bases.  Custom mounts and bases carry additional charges.
  • Head/neck mounts are charged at 75% of shoulder mount prices.
  • Mounts with open mouths will carry an additional charge. 
  • Tanning of back skins are charged at 50% of flat skin price.
  • Brass Plates, including engraving, $20.00 each.
  • Packing charges:  Mounted trophies – 12.5% of taxidermy bill – minimum charge $210.00
  • Dip & Ship consignments – 15% of total bill – minimum charge $210.00
  • Permit charges:  Nature Conservation, including Cites – charged by the shipping company
  • Veterinary permit:  $60.00 per consignment
  • We use the services of Badger Cargo in Johannesburg for shipping consignments.  Should you wish to make use of an alternative agent please advise our office.

Every care is taken to ensure the best quality tanning of all hides& capes, however, Robinson Taxidermy is not responsible for any defect which may occur as a result of poor field preparation.
